Oriol Romeu has hailed the importance of three points against Sunderland and heaped praise on striker Fernando Torres, chelseafc.com reports.
The Spanish midfielder, signed from Barcelona in the summer, has impressed in the defensive anchor role in Chelsea’s midfield and played a vital part in the 1-0 win on Saturday. Romeu was involved in the goal for Frank Lampard and the 20 year old is going from strength to strength, making 19 appearances for the Blues already this season. Chelsea sit in fourth place, eight points behind league leaders Manchester City, and Romeu knows that his side must keep pushing if they want to challenge for the title.
