Romeu keen to stay at Chelsea

Chelsea’s Spanish midfielder Oriol Romeu has insisted that his transfer from Barcelona in the summer is not comparable to that of Cesc Fabregas’, because he is not looking to return to the Nou Camp anytime soon.

Fabregas had left Barca to join Arsenal as a 15-year-old only to rejoin them in 2011 after a becoming an integral and hugely popular player at the Gunners. Romeu does have a buy back clause in his contract which will allow the Spanish giants to purchase their former player if they so choose

On Goal.com Romeu answered the question of whether he’d consider playing for the Catalan outfit again: “I do not know, I cannot answer. First of all I need to look at what I can do here at Chelsea. I would not want to go back and not play, I’m happy where I am.”
