Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is hoping to get a chance for tonight’s FA Cup fixture with Oldham at Anfield, liverpoolfc.tv reports.
The midfielder signed for the Reds for £2m two years ago, but has failed to make much of an impact at Anfield yet. Shelvey spent two months on loan at Blackpool this season and impressed with his goalscoring performances. Liverpool recalled the young midfielder from his loan and now Shelvey is hoping he can push for a start.

Experienced defender Jamie Carragher should return to the starting lineup and midfielder Steven Gerrard should get his first start following an ankle infection.
