Spurs youngster Townsend makes Leeds loan move

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has joined Championship club Leeds United on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, and has also had loan spells at Millwall, Watford and Ipswich in the past. He recently signed a new five year deal, keeping him at Spurs until 2016, and made six appearances in this season’s Europa League, as well as one against Stoke in the Carling Cup. He has also represented England at U16, U17 and U19 levels.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson told the Leeds United’s official website, “Andros is a quality young player with proven experience at this level, and we’re delighted to be able to bring him to Leeds.”
