Tottenham reserve John Bostock is poised to join League One side Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the season, reports Sky
Bostock, 20, is an attacking midfielder, who has seen his opportunities to break into the Tottenham first team this season limited, making just one appearance in the FA Cup against Cheltenham. The fact that Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League before Christmas will also have curtailed his chances in the second half of the season, and now he looks set to join Sheffield Wednesday’s promotion push.
Bostock has been on Tottenham’s books since May 2008, after joining in acrimonious circumstances from Crystal Palace. His appearance in the 2008 UEFA Cup game against Dinamo Zagreb made him the youngest ever player to appear for Spurs, but he is still yet to start a Premier League game. He has also spent previous loan spells at Brentford and Hull City.
