Tottenham could make a move for Blackburn defender Chris Samba in the transfer window, despite Redknapp’s assertions that Spurs will not sign anyone in January, according to the Daily
Blackburn need money for Steve Kean to be able to make new signings, and are considering offloading Samba to finance the purchase of two or three new players. Samba’s £60,000 per week wages could be an obstacle, but with Blackburn likely to accept a cut-price fee, Spurs may be tempted to take the opportunity to bolster their back line.
According to reports, Redknapp sent scouts to watch the 27-year-old in Blackburn’s 3-2 victory over Manchester United at the weekend, with a view to a possible bid.
