Tottenham get Stevenage test in FA Cup 5th round

Tottenham have been drawn to play against League One Stevenage in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Spurs laboured to a 1-0 win against Watford on Friday night, and had previously beaten Cheltenham 3-0 in the 3rd round. Stevenage, meanwhile, beat Notts County 1-0 in this weekend’s round of ties, and have also claimed the scalp of Championship side Reading, as well as defeating Stourbridge and Hartlepool.

As well as enjoying a successful cup run thus far, the Hertfordshire side are mounting a play-offs push in League One, currently sitting in sixth place. If their push continues to gather pace, they could achieve their third consecutive promotion after rising from the Conference National and League 2 in the past two seasons.

The winners of the tie, to be played on the weekend of February 18 and 19, will book their place in the competition’s quarter finals.
