Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett has emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners will have to fight off interest from Bayern Munich, Metro
The Canadian international has been one of Blackburn’s stand-out performers this season and has attracted interest from Arsene Wenger. Criticism from former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit called for the Gunners boss to redevelop the squad in the summer and Hoilett has been identified as a new signing. Wenger will have to move quickly for a player who is being tracked by a host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham.
German giants Bayern Munich are interested, but it is believed that the Blackburn forward would prefer to stay in the Premier League. Hoilett is out of contract at the end of the season and unless Rovers can arrange a new deal, the Canadian international could leave for nothing.
With Andrey Arshavin’s future unknown, Hoilett could be seen as a replacement for the Russian international. Arshavin’s former club Zenit St. Petersburg and Russian side Anzhi are interested in the 30 year old, who has failed to impress Arsenal fans during his time at the club.
