Chelsea boss not unnerved by Abramovich presence

Recently at Chelsea’s Cobham training complex you will have seen a familiar face talking with manager Andre Villas-Boas. It is of course club owner Roman Abramovich whose infrequent visits bring with them questions as to what he needs to discuss or observe whilst sitting in on training sessions.

However Villas-Boas insists in The Sun that there is no added pressure because of the Russian’s presence, and that their relationship remains strong: “We have never stopped speaking, because he is physically present it does not mean the conversation has just started now.”

The former Porto manager went onto rubbish paper talk that he was growing increasingly frustrated with his boss’ attendance: “You can speculate whatever you want, but for us it is fantastic to have him here. It is not distracting, not at all.”
