Mario Goetze’s representative has denied reports that negotiations are underway between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United over the sale of his client, Metro
The 19 year old attacking midfielder is one of the brightest talents in European football and Arsenal are competing with Man United for the signing of the Dortmund playmaker. Goetze is currently suffering from a groin problem and is expected to return next weekend to try and help Dortmund win back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
Dirk Hebel, chief executive of the SportsTotal agency that represents Goetze, was quoted last week as saying he had been in contact with the Premier League champions. SportsTotal managing director Volker Truth has denied those reports and set the record straight over Goetze’s future.
‘The reports from England are not true. This newspaper has not talked with my colleague Dirk Hebel. What it all boils down to is that (Goetze) will play next season with Borussia’, Truth said.
