Jenkinson insists Arsenal are better than Tottenham

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson believes that his teammates have better quality than Tottenham and will win this Sunday’s North London derby, The Daily Mail reports.

Jenkinson has been sidelined for three months with a back problem, but is hopeful that he can return to action at the Emirates Stadium this weekend. The Gunners have endured a bad run of form in their last two games with a 2-0 loss to Sunderland in the FA Cup following a 4-0 drubbing in the Champions League against AC Milan. Spurs are in great form and have lost just two out of their last 23 games, so Arsenal have a difficult task ahead of them.

The former Charlton player believes that Arsenal will have enough confidence and belief to come out on top against Spurs. Arsene Wenger’s side lost the reverse fixture this season and Jenkinson is keen to correct the wrong of White Hart Lane.

‘There’s no hiding the fact that they (Spurs) have done well, but we have got a stronger squad in my opinion and we have got to show that on Sunday. We have to beat them. We have been training hard this week and it is a big game for us. All the lads are going to be hugely up for it and we have to go out there and do the business’, Jenkinson said.
