Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Italian giants Juventus, according to the Daily
The Italian giants want to offer Suarez the chance to move away from England, where he has been vilified by the English media and Premier League fans. Suarez is expected to receive abuse from opposition fans and could be looking to get away from all the negative attitudes towards him. Liverpool signed the 23 year old in January 2011 and will not be looking to sell again, but the Uruguayan could force a summer move.
Juventus are looking to replace iconic striker Alessandro Del Piero, who will leave the club in the summer, and see Suarez as the perfect signing due to his similarities with Del Piero. The Uruguayan was one of the form players in the league before his ban and Liverpool will be hoping his return can help them surge up the table into the top four. Liverpool would want at least £30m for the striker, who cost them £22.8m from Ajax.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has insisted that the club will continue to back Suarez and support him through the difficult return. Suarez’s second game back is against United, where he is expected to receive a torrid amount of abuse, but Dalglish will start the Uruguayan at Old Trafford.
