Kuyt insists Liverpool fear nobody

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt believes his club have hit their form at the right time ahead of tonight’s clash with third placed Tottenham at Anfield, liverpoolfc.tv reports. The Reds go into the game looking to leapfrog Arsenal into sixth place and keep themselves within distance of the top four.

Doubts over Kuyt’s future have been eradicated after two goals in his last two games, including the winner against Manchester United at Anfield in the FA Cup. Liverpool were blasted by boss Kenny Dalglish following their shocking performance in a 3-1 loss to Bolton, but since then, they have tasted success in both cups and a win against Wolves. Kuyt insists the side have responded well to the manager’s words and are ready to keep their unbeaten run going with victory over an impressive Spurs outfit.

The Dutchman said: ‘We were all very disappointed with the way we played at Bolton. We know we are better than that and three games can change your whole season as we have showed since then. We have the confidence, we are playing well so I don’t think there is a better time for us to meet Spurs. It should be a great game. We were disappointed to lose to them at Anfield in our final home game of last season, so we are looking for a little bit of revenge as well.’

Kuyt has also praised the form of Craig Bellamy and Andy Carroll in the absence of Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez, who returns for tonight’s fixture at Anfield. Suarez can expect a raucuous reception from the Reds and Kuyt is hoping the players can feed themselves from the great reception on Merseyside.
