Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt scored his 50th league goal for the Reds against Wolves on Tuesday and has reflected on his favourite finishes for the club, liverpoolfc.tv
There has been rumours over the 31 year old’s future with Turkish side Galatasaray interested in his services, but the striker has scored two goals in two games for the Reds. Kuyt has also scored late strikes against the likes of Everton and Manchester City, but the Dutchman has one goal that stands out in his career.
Kuyt said: ‘There are many nice goals I have scored for Liverpool – especially the winner against Everton and the hat-trick against Manchester United, but one goal I particularly like was the home game against Chelsea. Peter Crouch flicked the ball on and I fired it past Petr Cech. That was a great goal, but at the end of the day I’m very proud of all the goals I’ve scored for this club.’
‘It’s great to achieve 50 goals for this club in the Premier League. Not many people have done that at this club and also from my country not many people have done that, so to reach that target is great.I had to wait a while for it but I knew it was coming and I just kept working hard’, the Dutchman added.
