Lampard in line for move to Paris move

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard could be offered a way out of Stamford Bridge by Paris Saint Germain and his old boss Carlo Ancelotti, The Mirror reports.

The England international was unhappy with Andre Villas-Boas’ decision to put him on the bench for Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Napoli, leading to Villas-Boas admitting that the 33 year old spoke with him, but the Chelsea boss believes he made the right decision. Lampard is reported to be unhappy with the way he is being treated by Villas-Boas and his 11 year spell with the club could be on the verge of ending.

Manchester United were interested in Lampard, but it seems that PSG are the front runners for his signature. Ancelotti has monitored the situation between Lampard and the club and is ready to make a move to bring his former player to Paris. The Italian has kept PSG at the top of Ligue 1 and if they secure Champions League football for next season, Lampard could favour the move.

Lampard is Chelsea’s top goal scorer this season despite a lack of consistent time in the starting line-up and Ancelotti is reported to rejoin with the England international and bring him to Paris. Despite his looming 34th birthday in June, Lampard is still renowned for his goal instincts and his experience would help the Parisians in Ancelotti’s eyes.
