The agent of Udinese defender Mauricio Isla has revealed that he believes Liverpool are among the admirers of his client, International
Isla is fast turning into a big star for the Serie A side and is known across Europe with Liverpool leading the chase of admirers. The 23 year old has won 31 caps for Chile and is an extremely versatile player who can play in defence or midfield. Isla’s agent, Leonardo Rodriguez, confirmed that he thinks Liverpool are watching the player with the view to making a move in the summer window.
Rodriguez said ‘I believe that he is being watched by Liverpool and other clubs from Italy. I can’t be sure that any clubs are getting in contact (with Udinese). Near the next market, we will be able to inform with more accuracy’.
Udinese are keen to hold onto the highly talented Chilean, but the Daily Mail reported that Liverpool are ready to test the resolve of the Italian side with a £12m bid. The Reds will have to contend with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow and fellow Italian outfit Roma, who have all been linked with signing Isla.
