Villarreal captain Marcos Senna has acknowledged his side needs to secure top-flight safety as quickly as possible after the 4-0 defeat suffered against Real Mallorca on Sunday.
The Yellow Submarine currently lie 17th in La Liga just three points and one place above the relegation zone, and the veteran Brazilian-born Spanish international is well aware of what is required.
“We need to turn the page and think about the next match,” he told a Press conference on Tuesday. “It’s obvious what has to be done as we are fourth from bottom, so we must keep working and be positive as right now the only aim is to get us out of the bad situation in which we find ourselves.
“All our games from now on are finals,” he continued, “because for us the league is over. We can’t even consider Europe or the like as this is the reality and needs to be addressed as quickly as possible.”
