Oxlade-Chamberlain is a natural, says Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and compared him to Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney when he was at a similar age, The Guardian reports. The 18 year old scored twice and devastated the Blackburn defence as Arsenal ran out 7-1 winners on Saturday.

Wenger has been keen to keep Oxlade-Chamberlain out of the Premier League spotlight, but has played him in the last three league games against Manchester United, Bolton and Blackburn. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been devastating in those fixtures and ripped through Blackburn in a fantastic performance from Arsenal as a whole. The 18 year old has been backed to go to the European Championships this summer and Wenger has praised the forward for his play in recent games, which will impress England boss Fabio Capello.
