Tottenham have released their revised 25 man squad for the second half of the Premier League season, including Louis Saha and Ryan Nelson, along with the surprise inclusion of 24-year-old forward Simon Dawkins, reports the Daily
Dawkins is in his second spell with Tottenham, after spending much of his youth career with the club between 2004 and 2009. He has spent periods on loan at Leyton Orient, and, after a series of unsuccessful trials, was re-signed by Tottenham in March 2011. Since then, he has been on loan at MLS club San Jose Earthquakes, scoring 6 goals in 26 appearances. He also recently had an unsuccessful trial with Dutch side FC Twente.
Other surprise inclusions in the squad are defender Bongani Khumalo and midfielder David Bentley. Khumalo returns from a loan spell at Reading, having made just 4 appearances this season, whilst Bentley returned from a loan at West Ham having sustained a serious knee injury in October. However, his recovery from the injury has been swifter than expected, and he could now play a part in Tottenham’s title race run-in.
