Tottenham midfielder to extend Yeovil loan

Tottenham have confirmed that youngster Dean Parrett will spend the remainder of the season at League One Yeovil Town, after his initial one month loan was extended, reports The Western Gazette.

20-year-old Parrett signed for Tottenham’s Academy from Queen’s Park Rangers in 2007, and has spent previous loan spells at Aldershot Town, Charlton Athletic and Plymouth Argyle. The midfielder has also made several appearances at U20 level for England, but as yet his Tottenham career has been restricted to four Europa League appearances.

On sealing the deal, Yeovil manager Gary Johnson was quick to sing the youngster’s praises, saying: “Dean has impressed me. He has got fantastic ability and there is probably more to come from him. People have seen his qualities, there are a couple of things that he needs to improve on slightly but I think he knows that as well and I think he is happy to be here.”
