The England international suffered a setback from his ankle injury that has ruled him out all season. Wilshere suffered a stress fracture in the same foot and that latest setback has ruled him out until May.
Wilshere was ordered to rest up for three weeks, but after making better progress than expected, the Gunners physios have brought forward the date of his next scan. The 20 year old will step up his rehabilitation if given the all-clear and could be back playing before the European Championships, where he could make a late push for the England squad.
Arsenal face AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday and the England international has been ruled out of that particular tie, but could be back for the quarter finals at the end of March if the Gunners progress. Wilshere has suffered all season with an ankle problem and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hoping for good news over Wilshere’s immediate future.
