Agapito puts Zaragoza up for sale

Real Zaragoza President, Agapito Iglesias, has decided to put La Primera’s bottom club up for sale following the constant stream of criticism he has attracted from supporters over the past few months.

Agapito owns 92 per cent of the club’s shares and a statement on Zaragoza’s official website said the decision had been taken because of his inability to attract foreign investment and the atmosphere that has been generated around him recently.

Even so, a report in AS suggests that as the President has not set a specific price for his shares the news has been greeted with widespread scepticism amongst fans, although some appear to see it as the beginning of the end of Agapito’s controversial tenure at La Romareda.
