Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze is expected to return from a groin injury in time to feature in the Bundesliga run-in, alerting Arsenal, who have been linked with a summer move for the midfielder, according to the
Gotze has been missing since suffering the injury in December, but Dortmund Coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed his belief that Gotze could be available for the last five or six games of the season as Dortmund chase the title. Dortmund are currently five points clear of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table, with eight rounds of matches still to play.
Before suffering his groin injury Gotze had made 20 league and Champions League appearances for his club, including against Arsenal in the latter competition, helping Dortmund to a 1-1 draw in Germany but unable to prevent a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium. Gotze also had five goals to his credit, including the only goal of a 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena.
