Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has played down talk of a move away from the club and insists he is content with life in Italy, talkSPORT
The Uruguayan is one of the most wanted strikers in world football and was encouraged by national team boss Oscar Tabarez to leave Napoli sooner rather than later. Chelsea are interested in the 25 year old, who scored two goals against them in the second round first leg of the Champions League last month.
Cavani has scored 41 goals in 57 Serie A games since moving to Naples from fellow Italian club Palermo and has forged a lethal partnership with Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik. Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis slapped a 100m euro price tag on the striker and is adamant that Chelsea will not be able to sign Cavani. The Blues are expected to make another move this summer, but Cavani could rebuff the deal and try to fulfil his dream of winning the Champions League with Napoli.
“I have confidence that the president of Napoli loves me. I find it perfect here. It’s perfect to live here and at the moment, I am great personally. I do not want to pay attention to the market rumours”, the 25 year old said.
