Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben has hinted at the possibility of making a return to the Premier League and maybe with his former side, The
The Bayern Munich man scored twice in Holland’s 3-2 win over England last week, but has endured much criticism with his club side this season. Bayern lost ground on German league leaders Bundesliga this weekend with a 2-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen and Robben may look for an exit this summer. The 28 year old has one year left on his contract with the German side, but has felt the effects of a pelvic injury so far this season.
Robben has remained friends with former Chelsea team-mates John Terry, Frank Lampard and Petr Cech and could be keen on a move back to Stamford Bridge. Bayern could sell Robben to make room for young Borussia Monchengladbach winger Marco Reus and Chelsea are on red alert to sign their former player, who was successful in West London. Robben spent three seasons at the Blues and won two Premier League titles under current Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
‘I don’t have an ideal situation in Germany, I am now considering the options I have and I will get. It was great to play at Wembley and to see many people I know. I can try and put up a brave face and make out all the things in Munich do not affect me, but of course, it gets on my nerves and affects me. I just needed this game against England so much. It was a joy to be playing at my best again’, Robben said.
