The newspaper adds that Krul and Tiote have been identified along with Porto’s Brazilian striker Hulk and Radamel Falcao, the Atletico Madrid forward. The Mail speculates that the four players would cost Chelsea in the region of £90m.
Krul, 23, arrived on Tyneside in 2005 for a fee set by tribunal of £200,000. This season the Dutchman has established himself as Newcastle’s No. 1 ahead of Steve Harper and made his senior international debut in June 2011.
Tiote moved to Newcastle in 2010 from FC Twente in the Netherlands, where he won the Dutch title under Steve McClaren. A midfielder, Tiote has been capped by the Ivory Coast 29 times and played with Didier Drogba at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
