Drogba says Mourinho Chelsea return would be fun

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba feels Jose Mourinho returning to Stamford Bridge would be “fun“, the Daily Mirror reports.

Drogba said: “There is a lot of speculation – [Mourinho], [Rafael] Benitez…It would be nice [to have Mourinho back], it would be fun for the story. Let’s see what happens.

Drogba was brought to the West London club by Mourinho from Marseille in 2004, the same year Mourinho was appointed manager by Roman Abramovich. In his seven-and-a-half years at Chelsea Drogba has scored 152 goals in all competitions, netting his 100th Premier League goal this weekend as Chelsea defeated Stoke City 1-0.

Mourinho left Chelsea in September 2007, having won the Premier League title twice (in 2004-05 and 2005-06), the FA Cup once in 2006-07 and the League Cup twice (2004-05 and 2006-07). Since leaving Chelsea Mourinho has also won the Serie A title with Inter twice as well as taking the Champions League with the Italian giants.

Mourinho’s Real Madrid are also currently top of La Liga, 10 points clear of Barcelona in second place, while Madrid face a second-leg against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League, with the scores at 1-1 from the first encounter.
