The 27 year old Serbian attracted interest from Chelsea, but decided to remain at Juventus, despite the limited chances he has received under Antonio Conte. Krasic has played once this calendar year and revealed that he will leave Juventus this summer. His decision to leave Turin this summer will put Tottenham on alert, who had attempted to loan the Serbian international in January.
Krasic said: “At the end of the transfer window in January, there were offers from Tottenham and Zenit for a loan deal. I decided to decline those options in the belief that I would be given more chances at Juventus. That has proven to be a mistake and it would have been better if I had accepted one of those offers.”
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp revealed that Krasic had wanted a permanent move to White Hart Lane, but Redknapp was only interested in a loan deal. The North London side are falling fastly off the pace in their hunt for Champions League qualification and saw another set of points dropped against Stoke City at home on Wednesday. The Potters led until the last minute, but Rafael van der Vaart salvaged a point for Spurs in injury-time.
