Lukaku ready to leave Chelsea for Fulham

The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku is ready to leave Stamford Bridge and join Fulham on loan to guarantee his international future.

Lukaku, an £18m summer signing from Anderlecht, has made only 10 appearances for Chelsea, with his only starts coming in three League Cup matches. Lukaku has featured six times in the Premier League, all as a substitute, and not scored at all this season.

According to the Daily Mail the 18-year-old is being monitored by clubs from across the continent, including Lazio and Borussia Moenchengladbach, but the player himself would prefer to stay in England, and, more specifically, in London, disappointing suitors Everton and Bolton Wanderers but opening the door for Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

Lukaku has been capped 16 times by Belgium, and scored his first and second international goals with a brace against Russia in November 2010. Belgium failed to qualify for Euro 2012, finishing third in their group behind Turkey, who fell at the play-off stage, and Germany, who qualified unbeaten.
