Madrid and Barca bore me claims Lolo

Osasuna midfielder Lolo claims he is bored by the recent media coverage surrounding both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The two Spanish giants have been involved in several refereeing controversies in recent weeks and, asked if he was thinking of his club’s clash with Real in two weeks time, the versatile former Sevilla player insisted he was only concentrating on his own team.

“Right now the Madrid game is far away,” the 27-year-old told a Press conference. “It is you (the journalists) who talk about Barcelona and Real Madrid, but I don’t know why you bore us so much with them. It’s so boring that almost every newspaper is always Madrid and Barca, but for me personally both teams bore me and I only think about what we are doing at Osasuna.”

The Pamplona-based side are currently seventh in La Liga, level on 40 points with Espanyol and chasing a European place, and have a tough fixture at fourth-placed Levante on Sunday. Lolo insists he is solely focused on that and is not bothered who wins the league title this season; he also does not want to get involved in speaking about match officials.

“Honestly, I don’t care who wins the league and I am only thinking about the Levante game,” he maintained. “I don’t like to talk about referees, whether they are for us or against us. They have a very difficult task and have my utmost respect.”
