Officially known as the Beijing Olympic Stadium, the Bird’s Nest cost $423m to build and seats up to 80,000 spectators, reduced from 91,000 during the Olympics.
In their most recent Premier League meeting in December Manchester City defeated Arsenal 1-0 at the Etihad Arena through David Silva’s 52nd minute goal. City also knocked Arsenal out of this season’s League Cup by the same score at the Emirates Stadium a month earlier. The two sides meet again in the Premier League on 8 April. League leaders City currently hold a 17-point lead over Arsenal, who reside in fourth place.
