PSG target Liverpool striker Suarez

The owner of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al Khleaifi, has revealed that the French club are interested in signing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, according to the the Daily Telegraph.

Al Khelaifi also admitted Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain was on the team’s wish list once the summer transfer window opens at the end of the season. PSG have in recent transfer windows spent heavily on the likes of Argentinean attacking midfielder Javier Pastore, formerly of Palermo, Italy international Thiago Motta, bought from Inter, and Chelsea’s Brazilian centre-back Alex, who was no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge under now former manager Andre Villas-Boas.

The side from the French capital currently top Ligue 1, sitting a point clear of surprise package Montpellier and eight points ahead of Lille, who boast the in-demand Eden Hazard and Joe Cole, on loan from Liverpool, in their ranks. PSG are coached by former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, a mid-season replacement for Antoine Kombouare, who was sacked despite taking the Parisians to the top of the table.
