Gordon Strachan is hopeful of making a return to football, but will not be too concerned if no favourable opportunities arise. The Scotsman has been away from the game since he left Championship side Middlesbrough by mutual consent in 2010.

“I still think I have a lot to give the game. I still think I can make players better and I can make football teams better. Of course I want to coach again with good players and people who have drive, but if it never happened again, I would be fine. I speak to players every day that I have worked with, who are asking for advice or saying how are you doing, so through coaching, I have met a lot of great people”, the former Scottish international said.
Strachan also believes that managers have to accept a “yob culture” within the media and Britain, so that they can get successful ventures from their clubs. The Scotsman believes that the best way to deal with the criticism is to shut themselves away from the media and deal with the pressure of winning games rather than pressure from the fans and the media.
