The agent of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has admitted the striker would consider a move to either Juventus or Roma, but stressed there had been no negotiations with either club, the
Antonio Sanz said: “We know the new American project at Roma and the philosophy of manager Luis Enrique, but if Roma want Fernando, they will have to talk with Chelsea. The Italian championship is of a good standard, but there are currently no discussions with Roma or Juventus.”
Torres has been at Stamford Bridge since January 2011, when he moved from Liverpool in a British-record £50m transfer. The Telegraph adds that Torres wanted to swap Liverpool for London for 18 months before the move actually went through, and in that time the Spanish international suffered a loss of form and fitness that he has struggled to get back since joining Chelsea.
The 28-year-old has made 55 appearances in Chelsea colours, scoring seven goals, finding the net roughly once every eight games. At Liverpool Torres was on target 81 times in 142 games, a ratio of slightly better than a goal every other game. Internationally, Torres has 27 goals in 91 games, scoring around once in every three outings.
