Tottenham could be without King and Adebayor for Stoke match

Tottenham Hotspur could be without their captain and one of their leading goal scorers when they play Stoke City on Wednesday as both Ledley King and Emmanuel Adebayor remain injury doubts, according to Sky Sports.

Skipper King is troubled by a knee injury while Adebayor, on loan for the season from Manchester City, has a hamstring problem. Adebayor has scored 12 goals in his time at White Hart Lane, leaving him behind only Jermain Defoe, who has 15 to his credit.

In their last Premier League outing Tottenham fell to a 1-0 defeat by Everton, a game in which both King and Adebayor played. The former managed the full 90 minutes but Adebayor was withdrawn before the hour mark, with former Toffees striker Louis Saha replacing him for the remainder of the game.

The last time Spurs met Stoke Adebayor was on the score sheet for the Lilywhites, converting a 62nd minute penalty, but it was not enough to confirm victory as a Matthew Etherington brace delivered the points to the Potters.
