Harry Redknapp has said his Tottenham Hotspur side are facing an important few days as they play first Stoke City and then Chelsea, but according to ClubCall
Redknapp said: “We have Stoke on Wednesday and have Chelsea at the weekend so we have to make sure we are ready for those two games. They are so important for us…we will be ready.”
With Tottenham aiming for a return to the Champions League and the Premier League table being as tight as it is – a single point separates Spurs in third from Arsenal in fourth – the picture can change dramatically in one round of games.
Chelsea, under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo, have won each of their last four games and are four points behind Spurs, meaning a victory for the Blues at the weekend would leave them one point behind Redknapp’s side. Conversely if Tottenham were to beat Chelsea on Sunday the White Hart Lane club would open up a seven-point gap if both sides were victorious in their midweek fixtures, when Chelsea play title-chasing Manchester City.
