Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing AC Milan’s highly-rated attacking midfielder Stephan El Shaarawy to Emirates Stadium on a season-long loan, according to the Daily
El Shaarawy was already interesting the Gunners prior to his £10m co-ownership deal from Genoa to Milan and The Mail claims that while the Italian side would not want the talented youngster to leave on a permanent deal, they would allow him to spend a season out on loan.
The 19-year-old has made just five starts and a total of 20 Serie A appearances for Milan so far this term, scoring two goals. El Shaarawy, who has previously spoken of his admiration for English football, also played against Arsenal in the Gunners’ 3-0 second-leg victory in the Champions League clash last month.
However, The Metro claims that Arsenal, who have previously watched El Shaarawy in the Italian Cup and for Italy’s Under-21 side, would only be interested in a permanent deal for the exciting youngster.
