Juventus Coach Conte linked with possible Tottenham vacancy

Antonio Conte, the Coach of Serie A side Juventus, has been identified by the Tottenham Hotspur hierarchy as a possible replacement for Harry Redknapp should the current Spurs boss be lured away by the England manager’s vacancy, the Daily Telegraph has reported.

Conte has led Juventus to second place in the Serie A table, with his side so far unbeaten in 30 league games but, having drawn 14 times this season, the Bianconeri trail leaders Milan by two points with eight games to play. Juventus have however defeated Milan recently, in the Coppa Italia semi-final, winning 4-3 on aggregate. Conte also played for Juventus, making more than 400 appearances and winning five Serie A titles, as well as the 1996 Champions League.

The Telegraph add however that Spurs deny contacting any potential candidate for Redknapp’s job, and stress they will only do so if it becomes clear Redknapp will be leaving White Hart Lane.
