But the Reds skipper has said the outcome of previous matches between Everton and Liverpool will have little effect on what happens when the sides meet at the national stadium.
Gerrard added: “I think form, psychological edges and previous meetings go out the window…This is a cup game so I don’t think league form really matters. It is difficult to pick a favourite.”
