Wenger signed the ex-Everton midfielder last summer as a replacement for Barcelona-bound Cesc Fabregas, and Redknapp has admitted that he thought Arteta’s best years had been and gone at Goodison Park, where the former Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Rangers player spent six-and-a-half years, playing more than 200 games under David Moyes.
