Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he has been impressed by the way in which his players have turned their season on its head, the
Wenger is quoted as saying: “Considering where we were before Christmas, we have improved a lot. Maybe it is the most remarkable turnaround I have seen here.” Despite beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park in the last game before the festive period Arsenal were fifth on Christmas Day, and had dropped two places by early February after a goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers.
The Gunners have however only lost once in the league since the tie with Bolton, going down to a 2-1 defeat by Queens Park Rangers in late March, a single blip on a run of nine wins in 10 games. That streak includes victories over Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City.
