The Aragonese outfit are expecting fans to invade the 17,500-capacity Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium to boost their team’s chances of securing all three points against the nothing-to-play-for home side.
However, the Madrid club (sensing a big payday for their final fixture of the season) have raised ticket prices to levels usually reserved for the visits of Real Madrid and Barcelona – the cheapest at €60 with the most expensive costing €100- and a statement on Zaragoza’s website read:
“Given the elevated prices Getafe have imposed on tickets for the game, and due to the delicate economic situation at the club, we have decided to make this gesture to help our fans who have supported the team the whole season.
“It is their just reward to accompany us for such a vital match. They are the true engine of Zaragoza and deserve to be with the players for Sunday’s fixture.”
