The Mirror add that while Arsene Wenger wants to keep van Persie at the Emirates Stadium even if he does not sign a new contract, if van Persie agitates for a move Arsenal will sell rather than have a disgruntled player to contend with for 12 months.
Juventus are said to be van Persie’s only real option if he does move on from Arsenal, after the player’s father declared his son will not play for another English team, ruling out Manchester City and Manchester United, who had been interested in the forward.
