Arsenal could make a move for one of the stars of Euro 2012, Russia midfielder Alan Dzagoev, the
The CSKA Moscow player is out of contract in December but despite that, the Mail still puts Dzagoev’s valuation at £13m, only £2m less than Arsenal’s transfer record, paid in 2009 for Dzagoev’s international teammate Andrei Arshavin, the Guardian confirms.
Dzagoev has been with CSKA since 2008, joining from Krylia Sovetov, and has made over 100 appearances for the club from the Russian capital. Dzagoev, now 21, was named the Russian League’s best young player in 2008, and has won the Russian Cup three times with CSKA but the league title still eludes him.
Thus far in Euro 2012 Dzagoev has three goals to his name in only two games, netting twice in Russia’s opener against the Czech Republic and adding another in the 1-1 draw with co-hosts Poland.
