Arsenal pricing Vela out of Spain move claims agent

Carlos Vela is concerned that his current club, Arsenal, could be pricing him out of a move to Real Sociedad.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the Gunners have slapped a £6 million price tag on the Mexican striker leaving the La Liga side struggling to bring the player to Spain on a permanent deal.

Vela’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, has said: “He is very happy at Sociedad, he wants to stay there, but Arsenal are a complicated club to deal with.”

The 23-year-old attacker spent last season on loan at Sociedad, contributing 12 goals in 35 games to help them beat the drop. This is in stark contrast to his time at Arsenal where he has netted 3 times in 29 appearances since signing for the North London club in 2005.

After already finding playing time at Arsenal hard to come by, Vela could find his time on the pitch even more scarce this season, after the summer addition of Lucas Podolski and the imminent arrival of Olivier Giroud – leaving the Premier League side with an abundance of attacking options.
