Franco keen to see out his playing days back home

Goalkeeper Leo Franco has been offered a one year extension on his current contract at Real Zaragoza despite not having played a single minute over the course of last season.

The Argentinean stopper is keen for a move back to his native country and carry on playing for two more years despite the fact that Real’s Coach Manolo Jimenez is desperate to keep him at La Romareda.

Franco has been plying his trade in Spain since leaving Argentina way back in 1997, but at 35 years of age the seduction of returning to play back home is proving to great for the popular and larger than life figure to turn down .
