Shinji Kagawa will be a success at Manchester United, the Japan international’s teammates have promised, as the midfielder prepares to leave the Borussia Dortmund for the Premier League, according to ESPN
Two of Kagawa’s international colleagues, Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, and CSKA Moscow’s Keisuke Honda have praised Kagawa, insisting that he has all the qualities needed to impress in English football. The captain of Japan, Makoto Hasabe, echoed their sentiments.
Kagawa’s current club Dortmund have agreed a fee with United and all that stands in the way of the transfer now is a medical and a work permit. Miyaichi feels that Kagawa’s technical abilities will enable him to succeed in the Premier League, while Honda admitted he was pleased that Kagawa was getting an opportunity to play at such a prestigious club as United.
Miyaichi said: “Kagawa can keep the ball in the smallest of spaces and is a quick decision-maker. He can play there [Manchester United] for sure,” while Honda added: “Shinji deserves to be playing for a top club. He belongs. I hope he does well.”
