Manchester United’s proposed new signing, Japan international Shinji Kagawa, has said he hopes to be given a central role at Old Trafford, according to news agency Reuters.
Kagawa is quoted by Reuters as telling Japanese news agency Kyodo: “I want to play (in the hole). I feel like that’s where I play my best football. I plan on working hard so I can win my place at the position.” Kagawa added that he was impressed by the style of football employed by United, and that he relished the challenge of earning his place in the side. Kagawa, 23, won the title twice in his time in Germany, clinching a league and cup double last season.
