Manchester City could be prepared to sell France international midfielder Samir Nasri only a year after buying him from Arsenal, the
City paid £25m for the player in summer 2011 but Roberto Mancini is keen to reshape his side for an assault on the Champions League next season, having claimed the Premier League title in 2011-12. Nasri is one of the players who could be allowed to leave after Mancini was less than impressed with his contribution to City’s successful attempt to wrest the title from Manchester United. While Nasri is not officially transfer listed, the Metro insist City would accept an offer from an interested party if one was forthcoming.
Arsenal are said to be amongst the sides watching the situation closely. Arsene Wenger reportedly remains a fan of the playmaker but the same cannot be said for the Arsenal supporters, who have taken exception to some barbed comments emanating from the Nasri camp following his departure from the Emirates Stadium a year ago. Inter are also said to be trailing the 24-year-old.
