The 21-year-old da Silva twins, both full-backs, moved to United from Fluminense in 2008 at the ages of 17, but were not able to play for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side until they turned 18 in July that year. Since then, Rafael has gone on to make 90 appearances for the club, while Fabio has 53 games to his credit. They have each also made their national team bow, with each winning two caps for Brazil.
The Daily Post note that Rafael is considered strong going forward but over-eager with some of his challenges, but quoted his agent, Cassiano Pereira, as revealing his client is delighted with the prospect of extending his stay at Old Trafford.
